Weekend Full of Great Music and Avery's Prom...Life is Terrific!!

WOW! We're still exhausted, but very thankful for all the fun we had this last weekend. I'm just now getting around to posting about it because our week was equally as busy. David, Dylan and I met up with Mark & Martha at The Granada beginning our night with New Bohemians who were warming up for 7 Walkers, featuring the Grateful Dead's drummer, Bill Kruetzmann and incredible guitarist, Papa Mali. Dylan is thriving in his guitar playing and as I've mentioned before, his guitar teacher is Kenny Withrow of New Bohemians. Kenny plays in several other local bands as well. Dylan has really gotten into his guitar playing and has been attending most of the live music we've seen lately. You can imagine how exciting it is for him to see his guitar teacher up on stage jamming to a live audience and totally tearing it up on his guitar. 7 Walkers played a lot of Grateful Dead songs and were highly entertaining as well. David was up front doing his "Dead Dance" most of the show. Around the midnight hour, we dropped off a very tired Dylan at home after an exciting show. With much gumption, David and I headed over to the Barley House for the after party. Forgotten Space, another one of Kenny's bands, were playing and were on fire. I think everyone in the packed, little bar were up on their feet dancing the entire time. What a musical treat the entire night was.

Here is a couple of links of some nice New Bohemians last weekend at The Granada videoed by Dylan.

Here's a short clip of 7 Walkers:

Last Saturday was a lovely, spring day. We started with our day by the pool and Avery headed off to have her hair done. Another exciting day because we were busily preparing for prom night for Avery and her boyfriend, Brighton. The evening started with a reception at Bill & Jessica Jesse's house. There were at least 30 kids and about as many parents shooting pictures. The Jesse's house is like a museum and had many wonderful photo opps. What a great group of people! The kids had a very memorable evening.

David and I greeted the beautiful Sunday morning, by waking up bright and early and heading off for a drive to take some nature pictures. We almost drove all the way to Texoma. It was a morning well spent with my sweet husband. I so enjoy our times together, thanks Love!

David was invited Sunday evening out for another night of music to go see guitar legend, Jeff Beck. Needless to say, David was in music heaven most of the weekend. Click on this link to hear a little taste of JB:
